2009:  Edwards achieved Sprint Cup Chase status for the 4th time in 5 years by finishing 11th in the overall series with 7 top 5 and 14 top 10s.  He also finished 2nd in the overall Nationwide Series standings.  Statistically this was Edwards' best Nationwide Series result with 5 wins, 23 top-5 and 30 top-10 finishes.   Carl Edwards was the 2009 official spokesman for Speedway Children's Charities.

2008: Edwards finished second overall in both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series standings. He had a phenomenal finale to 2008 in both series right down to the last races. Edwards finished his fourth full Sprint Cup season with nine wins, 19 top fives and 27 top 10s. In the Nationwide Series he had seven wins, 19 top fives and 22 top 10s. He also won the Tag Heuer Top Racecar Driver of the Year Award and the National Motorsports Press Association voted him as the Richard Petty Driver of the Year Award. Edwards was also the choice for 2008 NASCAR.COM Driver of the Year.  Carl Edwards was also official spokesman for Speedway Children's Charities in 2008.

2007: Edwards finished ninth in the overall NEXTEL Cup standings with one pole, three wins, 11 top-five and 15 top-10 finishes. He finished the 2007 Busch Series season with four wins, 15 top-five and 21 top-10 finishes. Edwards dominated the driver's points standings for 33 straight weeks on his way to winning his first NASCAR Busch Series Drivers Championship title.

2006: Edwards struggled early in the Nextel Cup Series in 2006, but made a miraculous turn- around, finishing seven of the last 10 races in the top 10. He finished 12th in the overall standings. Edwards moved up one position from the previous year to second in the overall Busch Series standings. Edwards recorded a phenomenal record in 2006 with three poles, four wins, 15 top fives and 25 top 10s.

2005: Finished third in his first full season in both NASCAR's Nextel Cup & Busch Series. Captured first NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series wins back-to-back in Atlanta. Edwards compiled four wins, 13 top-five finishes and two poles in the Nextel Cup Series. He compiled five wins in the Busch Series, 15 top-five finishes and four poles. Won the Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors for the 2005 Busch Series.

2004: Compiled three wins, nine top-five finishes and two poles in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, finishing fourth in the final point standings. Also drove 13 races in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series.

2003: Named Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in his first year with Roush Racing. Captured three wins and 13 top-five finishes, finishing eighth in the final point standings in his first season.

2002: Made the transition into NASCAR, starting seven races in the Craftsman Truck Series and one in the Busch Series.
